Gloucestershire Training Group (GTG) is a small engineering training association. It has charitable status and is owned and managed by its member companies. Senior representatives from a range of the member companies make up GTG's Management Board who meet on a quarterly basis to review the operational and financial progress of the organisation at a strategic level. Details of the Board of directors can be found by click on the appropriate tab to the left.
GTG has been providing work-based learning in engineering for learners from member companies for over 30 years. We train apprentices in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines and also offer a dual skill programme for those employers who require multi-skilled individuals.
GTG also provides a range of additional tailor made training programmes and services.
The engineering training centre is based on a small industrial site in Gloucester, where learners undertake the first year off-the-job element of their apprenticeship programmes. The premises can hold up to 90 apprentices in any one intake and is resourced to deliver both practical hands-on workshop activities and more academic, classroom based studies.
The centre is managed by a Chief Executive Officer who reports directly to the Board of Directors.
