Gloucestershire Training Group hosted an event to celebrate the success and achievements of county apprentices. More than 200 guests including parents and employers attended the evening at Hatherley Manor Hotel to mark the end of the off-the-job foundation satge of training for the first year apperntices, and their progress to their employers.
Apprentices who had completed the full framework were issued with apprenticeship certificates as they take up professional careers as qualified electrical or mechanical engineers.
The evening was well attended by a variety of engineering employers, who all hve long-standing working relationships with GTG. Chief Executive Officer elect Linsey Campbell reassured learners and their parents that the decision to follow a career path within the engineering and manufacturing sector was a worthwhile choice. Gloucester MP Richard Graham added that the Government was committed to funding and growing apprenitceships in all sectors.
