Other Engineering Training

GTG also provides a range of additional engineering training programmes such as:

* GRADUATE PROGRAMMES - these programmes are usually intensive block release programmes which are designed to equip those individuals of graduate level with the necessary practical skills and knowledge required to underpin their academic studies/knowledge.

* REFRESHER COURSES - these programmes are developed specifically to meet the needs of the employer and the learners.   A variety of delivery structures can be adopted such as short block release, day release and can be delivered either at GTG's training centre or at the employers premises.

* SHORT COURSES/INTRODUCTORY COURSES - such as Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Measuring, Engineering Marking out, Computer Aided Design etc.

* DIRECT NVQ TRAINING - this is an option for individuals who are not eligible for an apprenticeship programme or employees who want formal recognition of their skills and experience.   A direct NVQ is delivered at the employers premises and can be achieved at either level 2 or 3.   The lengh of this programme will depend on the NVQ route selected and the number of units chosen.
